For many people, Microsoft Outlook is a logical choice for organizing project and action reminders, especially if you already use Outlook for email and calendaring. The trick with Outlook is to know which features to ignore and which to use.

This step-by-step guide will walk you through applying the best practices of GTD to Outlook 2003. Consider these suggestions a starting point, customizable to fit your own needs and use of Outlook.

Includes easy-to-follow, detailed instructions on:

• Using Outlook Tasks as an action list manager
• Making your lists portable
• Using the Calendar as a critical foundation for actions
• How to get email to zero
• Creating useful reference lists
• Tips about Contacts
• The best Windows and Outlook speed keys

More Details:

Once purchased, the guide will be sent to your email as a PDF file which you can save and/or print for your personal use.

There are significant design changes between Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007. If you are using Outlook 2003 or earlier, please download the GTD and Outlook 2003 whitepaper instead. You can find out which version you are on by going to Help > About Microsoft Outlook.

The instructions for configuring Outlook, as described in this document, are configured automatically if you install Netcentric’s Getting Things Done Outlook Add-in software. In addition, some of the contents of this whitepaper are included in Help topics within that software.

The latest version of the Add-In, released in June 2007, is Outlook 2007 and Vista compatible. For more information, visit: Netcentrics Outlook Add-in for Outlook 2007.
